Volunteer to save the King’s Teignton Ram Roasting Fair
The Ram Roasting Fair is held on Spring Bank Holiday Monday and is run by a small Committee who volunteer their time to keep this traditional event going. However, due to people stepping down following the 2025 Fair and planned retirements in 2026 we are looking for people to keep the Fair going into 2027 and beyond.
The Committee meets approximately 10 times a year for 2 hours each time. Meetings are held at the Kingsteignton Community Hall. This is the bulk of the commitment however there are usually tasks to be completed between meetings and information fed back to the group. We are keen to recruit people from a variety of backgrounds and the more members there are, the more the workload can be shared.
If you feel that you cannot commit to being on the Committee but would still like to help in some way we would love to have you on board. There are some tasks to be completed throughout the year but on Ram Fair day itself is where we need the most help. This could be with setting up, packing away, manning stalls or directing traffic. As little or as much as you feel you can help with would be appreciated.
