King’s Teignton Ram Roasting Fair donates £3,900 to local groups
At the Annual General Meeting the organisers of the Ram Roasting Fair distributed £3,900 from the proceeds of this year’s Fair to thirteen local groups. The nominated groups provided volunteers to set up the stalls, manned the hoopla and coconut shy, litter picked, organised the children’s sports, provided the PA, manned the gates and sold raffle tickets at the Fair. Without this valued help the Fair couldn’t proceed.
Those receiving donations were:
1st Newton Abbot (Kingsteignton) Sea Scouts, 1st Kingsteignton Guides and Rangers, Kingsteignton Athletic Football Club, Kingsteignton Community Baptist Church, Kingsteignton Senior Citizens Club, Kingsteignton Swimming Pool, Kingsteignton Tennis Club, Kingsteignton Twinning Association, Torbay Hospital Radio, Armed Forces Bikers Charity, Forget Me Not Bereavement Group, St Michael’s Church, Kingsteignton Athletic Youth Football Team.
The committee would also like to take this opportunity to thank individual members of the public who year on year volunteer at the Fair.

– Is there parking on site?
There isn’t any parking at the Ram Fair site.
Please be aware that many Retail Park car parks local to Oakford Lawn now have ANPR cameras to enforce the rules about customer only parking. Please make sure you read the Parking Notice before you leave the car park. There is a very small Council run car park off Gestridge Road and parking available on various roads around the town. There is no vehicle access to the Lawn once the Ram Fair opens. We would encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport if possible.
-Can I bring my dog?
We love seeing all of our 4-legged supporters! We just ask that they are kept on a short lead during the event, due to it’s busy nature.
