Welcome to the King’s Teignton Ram Fair website.

04/04/2026: please note that we appear to have a problem with emails. If you need to contact us, please use our Facebook page. Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

The Ram Fair will be held at Oakford Lawn in Kingsteignton, 25th May 2026.

We have great pleasure in introducing our 2026 May Queen and Attendants, the girls represent all three of the Kingsteignton Primary Schools this year.

Left to right: Attendant Darcie Sheehan (St Michael’s Church of England Primary), May Queen Katie Woods (Kingsteignton School), Attendant Phoebe Ash (Rydon Primary).

We look forward to sharing their special day at the Fair on May 25th.

Secretary post

The King’s Teignton Ram Roasting Fair Committee are looking for someone to take on the role of Secretary for the upcoming Fair and beyond.

The Fair is held each year on the late May Bank Holiday Monday at Oakford Lawn. It is a traditional part of Kingsteignton life and the Committee are keen to continue this for future generations but need your help to do so.

Are you organised, community‑spirited, and happy to lend a hand?

What the role involves
– Attending meetings (usually monthly excluding Christmas and July)
– Helping to coordinate communication between committee members
– Monitoring the shared email address and responding as required
– Keeping track of key dates, tasks, and paperwork
– Supporting the smooth planning of the fair, including on the day itself
– Arranging the AGM

🌟 What we’re looking for
– Someone reliable and friendly
– Comfortable with basic admin and email communication
– Happy to be part of a small, enthusiastic team
– No previous experience required – just a willingness to get involved

🎉 Why join us?
You’ll play a vital part in bringing one of Kingsteignton’s favourite annual events to life. It’s a great way to meet people, contribute to the community, and have fun along the way.

If you’re interested or would like to know more, we’d love to hear from you – please email info@kingsteigntonramfair.co.uk. More information about the Fair is available on our website www.kingsteigntonramfair.co.uk.

Please note that this a volunteering position. A likely time commitment each month would be around 5 hours with more in the weeks leading up to the Fair. Committee meetings are held on Monday evenings (mutually agreed dates) from 6.30 – 8.30pm at Kingsteignton Community Hall.

Stallholder applications have now closed for 2026

We are looking forward to the next Fair to be held on 25th May 2026.

All successful applicants have been contacted.

King’s Teignton Ram Roasting Fair donates £3,900 to local groups

At the Annual General Meeting the organisers of the Ram Roasting Fair distributed £3,900 from the proceeds of this year’s Fair to thirteen local groups.  The nominated groups provided volunteers to set up the stalls, manned the hoopla and coconut shy, litter picked, organised the children’s sports, provided the PA, manned the gates and sold raffle tickets at the Fair.  Without this valued help the Fair couldn’t proceed.

Those receiving donations were:

1st Newton Abbot (Kingsteignton) Sea Scouts, 1st Kingsteignton Guides and Rangers, Kingsteignton Athletic Football Club, Kingsteignton Community Baptist Church, Kingsteignton Senior Citizens Club, Kingsteignton Swimming Pool, Kingsteignton Tennis Club, Kingsteignton Twinning Association, Torbay Hospital Radio, Armed Forces Bikers Charity, Forget Me Not Bereavement Group, St Michael’s Church, Kingsteignton Athletic Youth Football Team.

The committee would also like to take this opportunity to thank individual members of the public who year on year volunteer at the Fair.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have put together a list of FAQs for the day:

– What time does it start?

Gates open at 11.45

– How much is it to get in?

£3 for adults and under 16s are free

If you’re visiting with children, we suggest using the main entrance at Oakford. Cash and card payments accepted. There is an alternative entrance off Broadway Road near Sorrell Court but there is a section without a pavement.

– Do you take Card?

Please remember to bring cash with you as many of the Charity stalls do not have card machines. The entrances to the Ram Fair accept card and cash and the Ram Fair Beer Tent has a card machine too. You can also buy raffle tickets by card.

– Can I get to you using public transport ?

Please check times for Bank Holiday running

No 2: Exeter-Dawlish-Teignmouth-Kingsteignton (Fountain/Lidl)-Newton Abbot

No 7 from Totnes-Newton Abbot-Kingsteignton (The Range stop)-Exeter

No 53 does not run on a Bank Holiday

No 182 from Chudleigh-Chudleigh Knighton-Kingsteignton (Fountain/Lidl)-Newton Abbot

Rail: Nearest Station is Newton Abbot.

– Is there parking on site?

There isn’t any parking at the Ram Fair site.

Please be aware that many Retail Park car parks local to Oakford Lawn now have ANPR cameras to enforce the rules about customer only parking. Please make sure you read the Parking Notice before you leave the car park. There is a very small Council run car park off Gestridge Road and parking available on various roads around the town. There is no vehicle access to the Lawn once the Ram Fair opens. We would encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport if possible.

-Can I bring my dog?

We love seeing all of our 4-legged supporters! We just ask that they are kept on a short lead during the event, due to it’s busy nature.
